Why migrate

What impact

To migrate the content in the current mailbox, CEIBS alumni account password needs to be reset during the migration, and the new password will be sent to you with the notification email. Do NOT change the password during the migration, otherwise the migration will fail.

The new password will take effect at the beginning of the migration and can be modified after the migration is over. Access to other alumni resources during the migration period will require the new password.

The mailbox won't work properly during the migration, but messages sent to your mailbox won't be lost.

All emails in the alumni mailbox will be migrated except for the contacts and calendars, which you will need to back up yourself.

The entire migration period will be carried out in batches from the end of June 2024.The migration notification email will be sent to your personal email address and alumni email address of the current batch of migrating students two weeks in advance. Please be sure to check for the notification.

If you have configured an alumni email address on your email client, please click the corresponding link below to back up your contacts and calendars.
What to do after migration

IT will send an email notification when the migration is complete, and then you can change the password and reconfigure the mailbox on your mail client.

After migration, the email system parameter are as follows:
- Mailbox quota: 5GB
- Message size limit for delivery: 35MB
- Recipient limit per message: 80
