How to Connect to the CEIBS Wireless Network? PDF Print E-mail

Here is only a sample configuration sequence for a notebook computer running Windows XP and using Windows to configure the Wireless Network.

Some brand of wireless network card has its own configuration programs, please do the correct settings accordingly. The SSID name of CEIBS wireless network is "CEIBS-Air". Here is a detailed Wireless Network Connection User Guide base on Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software version 10.x and above.


For Windows XP with appropriate wireless hardware drivers installed, the wireless LAN will start to work automatically with a network connection icon shown at Taskbar.


1.Click Start from Taskbar and select Control Panel. Select Network Connects and double click the Wireless Network Connection icon. Connect to Wireless Network screen will be shown:

2.Double click the CEIBS-Air, a pop-up alert window will be shown, please click Connect Anyway and continue.

3.Then the wireless network in range will be Connected.

4.Start your notebook computer under CEIBS-Air Wireless LAN coverage area, the Wireless Network Connection Status will show as below:

5.Choose Support tab and click Details, you'll get the detail information about the wireless connection, including the Physical Address of the wireless network card. Any unidentified computer will be assigned an IP Address like "172.20.30.XXX".
